- Probe Setup: Place an eddy current probe on the surface of the material.
- Signal Generation: Pass an alternating current through the probe to create eddy currents in the material.
- Signal Analysis: Monitor and interpret changes in eddy current flow caused by discontinuities. All interpretations and discontinuities found are evaluated, sized, and compared to the applicable code, standard or customer specifications to determine if they meet the requirements to be deemed acceptable or rejectable.
